Some sketches for a diy project. Husband is into audio equipment, so he’s putting together some speakers for our kitchen. The speaker cabs are wood, so he said I get to decorate them!

I’m thinking about playing around with wood burn techniques with highly saturated stains…

The design is based on folk art from his Slovak heritage- on his mom’s side. My married name is, thankfully, muuuch easier to spell than her maiden name.
